Hypothetical Heart...Honesty & Genuineness ONLY, Please.

Hi everyone...Here's a "Heart" hypothetical for REAL millionaires:

This is a dating site for millionaires and people who are looking to date millionaires. I think that even if you have money, you should still have a good heart. Some people don't care...they just want you to take care of them. Me? How did I get here? I just got a bit tired of paying for everything, even though I'm not the millionaire. Spending my own money is not the issue and I actually have a hard time accepting gifts from anyone. I just think it would be nice to have the option to do so...and not have to wait for the other person to "get the money together somehow" while I wait for months to travel somewhere.

Here's the background and hypothetical...I personally know someone worth over $200 million, which he doesn't really do much with. He says he wants to help make other people's lives better, but he also says he would never donate large sums of money to anyone, any project, etc. even though he knows how great of an impact it would make. So my questions to you are...Do you agree with this standpoint? Do you believe you could make a greater impact with 100,000 small donations versus 1 large donation? Would you attempt either? Would either be worth it to you? What if the only thing you received in return was a "Thank You" dinner, plaque, or some small gift...would you help then? Would you do it anonymously? Is there a set-point where you MUST be outwardly recognized? I'm not looking for numbers here, just your thoughts...and honesty. If you would never consider helping anyone, that's fine too - it's your money ...you can send me a private message and tell me why, if you want.

Well, thanks in advance for your insight. I'm sure the responses will adjust my outlook...maybe not for the better...but adjusted nonetheless.
