please read our story I am a 24 year old single mother to 5 wonderful children all under the ages of 7. I did not plan on having 5 kids(let alone at the age of 24 and raising them on my own on nothing but child support because I cannot afford to put them in daycare to work)but they are here and I find them to be the best thing that has ever happened to me. although it is a struggle (a lot of restless nights and no support from family. a lot of fears and stressing on how I am going to get by month to month financially)I just keep reminding myself that God is never going to give me anymore than I can handle.
currently, my 5 children and myself are living in a 2 bdrm apartment. yes. its small but we do with what we can afford. sure beats being homeless, in which we were...our rent alone is $525/month and that does NOT include electric. nor does it include my car insurance...or necessities (diapers and pull-ups, toiletries, etc. I definately cannot go without a vehicle. a lot of children bring A LOT of appointments(especially for my 4 year old who was recently diagnosed with asbergers syndrome)not to mention at least 3 trips to the grocery store a week. by the time I get 3 of my 5 children in the cart to go grocery shopping there is no room to put groceries, which is the cause for our frequent trips to the grocery store, which takes more money for gas. I am left to pay for all of this with $686/month that I receive in child support. my credit is ruined from just trying to get by. I know how to manage money and understand how to build my credit back up but its REALLY impossible to pay money owed toward debt if you don't even have the money to pay for the necessities that it takes to live. Every day of our lives is a struggle. I'm not the type of person to ask for help but at this point. I've hit rock bottom and I honestly have no other place to look but up and pray to God and know that he will lead the way to a better and brighter future for my children and myself.
